Following the release of the National Student Survey 2024 results last week, CSVPA continues to excel in providing an outstanding educational experience for students pursuing the creative arts.
The survey has shone a spotlight on CSVPA as the top Creative Arts School in London and the South East of England for providing an outstanding level of academic support to our students.
CSVPA’s incredible score of 97.2% for Academic Support, in comparison to the country’s average of 85.5%, highlights our commitment and dedication to creating an extraordinary learning experience for our students that centres around supporting and nurturing each individual to realise their artistic potential and become the creatives they want to be.
The National Student Survey is an independent survey conducted for all UK Higher Education institutions. It is often regarded as a key platform for students to inform their decision when deciding on the next step in their educational journey.
The survey is sectioned into themes, and students are asked a number of questions related to each theme in order to acquire a deeper understanding of an institution’s teaching standards, learning opportunities, academic support, learning resources and the students’ ability to have a voice.
Most notably, our teaching staff received high praise throughout the survey. 100% of students recognised our lecturers’ dedication to support their learning, while 94.4% acknowledged how easy it is to reach out to their lecturers when they needed to. Another 94.4% also highlighted our teaching faculty’s ability to make classes engaging. With our small class sizes, all students benefit from regular one-on-one time with their lecturers. This close contact encourages students to push themselves creatively and experiment with new techniques in a safe and supportive environment.
Furthermore, 100% of students agreed that they are given the freedom to explore their ideas and concepts in depth, and the ability to express their ideas, opinions, and beliefs. Our teaching ethos at CSVPA encourages each student to pursue their individual creative interests, styles and disciplines. They are given the opportunity to investigate their ideas, experiment with materials and use their creative talents to influence change in the world.
Other key statistics include:
• 94.4% of students acknowledged that their course has developed the knowledge and skills that they think they will need for their future
• 94.4% of students recognised that the feedback they receive from their lecturers helps them to improve their work.
These consistently high results clearly demonstrate that CSVPA is more than an art school. We are pushing the boundaries of excellence, providing a springboard for the next generation of creative changemakers.
At CSVPA, we offer Foundation and Extended Diploma courses, as well as both Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs.
