As the academic year comes to a close,we are extremely proud of our phenomenal BA (Hons) Graphics and Illustrations students, who have captivated audiences during their recent art show.
The Espacio Gallery in Shoreditch, the artistic heart of East London, hosted the small group of students for four days towards the end of June. They provided CSVPA’s young artists with a platform to showcase their art, express the message behind it and connect with an interested audience.
“My favourite part of my project was that I was able to speak to the crowd not only using my illustration but my music too.” Gabriel Andrew Aidoo from Italy
Having the opportunity to participate in events like this is fantastic for students’ development as artists. The work that goes into creating an exhibition means they must employ all their critical thinking skills, research and organisational skills to guarantee they are showcasing their art in the best possible light. This exhibition gives students a taste of life as a professional creative and provides them with a space to display their work and to the public, other artists and future employers.
“It’s important to show off our work in events like this because it helps you build up a confidence you don’t get from just showing your art to a classmate” – Francisco Gomes Alves from Portugal
