Drama Students Perform The Crucible

Recently our drama students performed The Crucible at the renowned Cambridge Junction, a live theatre in the centre of Cambridge. Over the course of a week our students performed The Crucible multiple times a day to packed out audiences.

The Crucible is a play by American playwright Arthur Miller written in 1953. It is a dramatized and partially fictionalized story of the trials young women faced during Salem witch trials, which were a series of hearings and prosecutions of people accused of witchcraft in colonial Massachusetts during 1692–93.

Below are a selection of photos from our students’ production of the play. We also caught-up with two of our leading actors, Joseph and Charlie who had this to say about their time on the course.

“This has been the best year of my life. I’ve made so many wonderful relationships and I have grown so much not only as an actor but as an individual as well – I have the course and the teachers to thank for that. I will be eternally grateful to my teachers for the amazing year I have had at CSVPA.”

Joseph, Drama Foundation

“The teachers really push you so you can find your limits, they motivate you and there are a variety of after school classes you can go to. You also receive a lot of support and you make some really, really great friends – who I will remember for the rest of my life. I’ve had a really lovely time on the course.”
